Statistics for Data Science

One of the main disciplines of Data Science is statistics. Statistics is a wide field of research, and Data Science only includes a subset of statistics expertise, such as data collection from a variety of sources, identifying different types of data and the statistical operations that can be done on them, exploratory data processing, measurements of core trends and uncertainty, hypothesis testing, and so on. Statistics is an essential knowledge field and Data Science is about deriving information from data.
